Welcome to TX Conceal & Carry, the firearms training facility that helps you to stay prepared. In addition to in person classes, we now offer an online license to carry class in the entire state of Texas. Our licensed instructor, Sergio Arellano offers lessons in everything you need to know about firearms safety. Additionally, he instructs course participants in gun range safety, the applicable laws of carrying and holstering, and more.
Participants will need to demonstrate a satisfactory mastery of the course materials in order to pass. This includes, knowing the laws regarding the use of force, and understanding the alternatives to the use of deadly force. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be qualified to send the appropriate documents to the Texas Department of Public Safety Handgun Licensing Division.
Sergio Arellano was born in El Paso, TX, where he attended El Paso Technical High School. He is a proud alumnus of University of Maryland. He retired from the U.S Army and served as a heavy combat veteran in world wide deployments ranging from Eastern and Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, West Africa, Granada, Somalia, and Haiti, to name a few. His dedication to his military cost him and now is a Disable Veteran with no regrets.
Sergio has over 47 years of experience in a broad array of fire arms. He is a Texas School Safety Instructor, License to Carry, and NRA Certified Instructor in Pistol, shotgun and Rifle. He is a retired federal law enforcement officer, who served as a Senior Supervisory Lead Police Officer. The State of Texas has approved an online license to carry class in Texas for eligible applicants. The class may be taken anytime 24/7, as well as stopped and re-started at any time. After purchasing access to the course, you will be re-directed to the online program where you will register and start. But first, register with the State here.
Upon completion of the course and successful passing grade on the examination, you will print the Class Completion Form (LTC 101). Additionally, there are two Affidavits (LTC 85-86) required by the State, they can be found here and must be notarized. Send all three documents to the Texas Department of Public Safety Handgun Licensing Division here.
Any legally qualified resident of Texas is eligible for the class.
The online course offers similar instruction as our live courses, and is designed for individuals who wish to receive gun training but cannot attend a class in-person. Our goal is to spread gun safety awareness and proper usage practices as conveniently as possible. Participants who follow the online course instructions and submit the appropriate paperwork afterward will receive the same qualifications as our in-person participants.
